The hotel is ok but the staff was extremely friendly. They helped with sorting out walks, arranged free shuttles from and to the city center, and we could have a good talk at the bar about Georgian history. And what was amazing for us: my wife forgot her hat in the hotel, the staff let us know, and transported it via plane to Tbilisi to have it delivered at our hotel there. Never had a service like this.

We took a risk on a property with only a couple reviews, and it paid off. The rooms are basic but comfortable, with a shared balcony/porch to hang out on, that would probably be really nice an a warm day. The bathrooms were good. The star of the show is the living room/kitchen, which is beautiful, cozy, filled with natural light, has a big comfy table next to the large windows, and is heated by the stove that always seem to be cooking fresh bread. It was a lovely place to hang out, and the drying rack behind the stove was a game changer for our cold, wet hike. Breakfast and dinner were yummy, and the hosts were nice. The grandmother played music for us and eagerly chatted with us over meals, even though the language barrier
