Even if you don't have a layover in Beijing, you should try this hotel. I upgraded my stay to a junior suite for an extra $70, which included breakfast and was very good value.

The staff were courteous and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable, and provided impeccable service down to details such as providing a warm water bottle every night for our use in warming the beds during the cold winter days - something we did not expect at all, but were so grateful for. The location was also great, being located within walking distance of Wangfujing. The ambience of the hotel was calming and relaxing. I'm sure I'll be back if I'm ever in Beijing again!

CHAO is awarded as the Best Urban Lifestyle Hotel by Condé Nast Traveler Gold List 2021. very spatious room, well equipped (two types of flat irons, two types of hairdriers), bottles of water and coffee capsules delivered every day. nice welcome basket of fresh fruits at arrival. Very nice staff, speaks good English. the restaurant downstairs is also good for dinner. There are also other bars and restaurants in the walking distance, plus a metro station very close. Highly recommended.
