Situated in Mariabé, Hostal Mi Castillo features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. The weather wasn't great during our stay but the owner's warmth more than compensated. Breakfast and dinner were excellent and very good value. The village of Mariabe was just what we were looking for, offering an authentic insight into village life in Panama.

At the hotel, every room is fitted with a patio with a garden view. At Wao Jungle Venao the rooms come with air conditioning and a private bathroom. Super laid back but also attentive staff. We loved the location , just 5 mins from the middle of town.

The hotel offers surf and kayak rentals. During breakfast local saw scarlet macaw couple flying by and lots of monkeys in the high trees from our table, that was breathtaking! The area is remote with several secluded beaches within walking/ short driving distance. The hotel is located far enough away from Vanao beach to not be disturbed by partying people and close enough to enjoy the restaurants and so on.

Facilities offered at the property include a games room, a tour desk and a children's playground. Best beach ever, huge, no rocks, wonderful waves,no undertow. So much fun, felt like a kid again, and we are in our mid seventies! Staff could not have been better, - the manager Estoben, staff Manual, Eli, Aaron, Juliette etc, all exceptional. The restaurant and bar was very cool based around a big old style fishing boat. The food was very good. Very romantic setting at night under the multiple strings of lights made it like a movie setting. Lots of places to lounge in the shade or under trees in their large wooden chaise lounges. Saw howler monkeys in the trees. There are plenty of trails, one leading to a waterfall.
