We liked everything! Nice ground level apartment with plenty of room, comfortable bed and very clean. Carol was a great host and made sure we felt at home. Breakfast was continental with 3 different types of cereal and other amenities. We would detour out of our way to stay here again! Even got a spot in the garage for my rental car...can't beat that! Great value for the price.

Situated 6 km from Foxton in a quiet location, Foxton Beach Holiday Park is just a 5-minute drive to the beach. Free private parking is available on site. The accommodation comes with a seating area. This place is a must see and stay! We had a large room with TV which had Netflix and other programs and it was so beautiful and so clean. Spotless!

Set in tranquil surroundings with large landscaped grounds and a picturesque garden terrace with mountain views, Tongariro Crossing Lodge offers uniquely spacious rooms with historic character. Tongariro Crossing Lodge was a great place to stay for our family (parents, 2 adult daughters). Our main purpose was to do the Tongariro Alpine Crossing the next day. However, after consulting with Louis (owner) and looking at the predicted cloud cover, we opted to delay the hike an extra day Louis kindly suggested alternative shorter hikes/activities near by, which were very enjoyable. Louis had also reserved spots for us on the shuttle (to/from hike) but upon our arrival and discussion, we decided to drive ourselves to the carpark which ended up being a good idea since the day we hiked was extremely cloudy, not clearing up until about 1pm. Driving ourselves allowed us to be flexible and enjoy the stunning views for another hour instead of rushing back to make the 5:30pm shuttle. In addition to the room (ours was newly renovated), you could also pay for a continental breakfast and sack lunch which Louis brought to our room the night before the hike. Very convenient and yummy!! Lodge was also within walking distance of restaurants (two that we ate at had great views of mountains, sunset) and small store. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay - perfect for us :). Louis was also very responsive prior to our trip, answering my many questions.

Sue and David are wonderful attentive and communicative hosts speaking reliable German and French. They made their house our home for 1 night. An amazing breakfast was served in the morning. Beautiful home in a beautiful location. Spacious and comfortable. Lovely host Jan didn't omit anything. Books, games, laundry facilities, outdoor table and chairs, etc kitchen was completely stocked. All one could need for a hearty breakfast was there--eggs, bacon, breads, jams, fruit and of course, coffee, tea, hot chocolate. Bedroom was lovely and even had a chocolate treat atop the clean towels on the bed. I wish we could have stayed longer.
