The breakfast was made by Leel's wife and it was so good and tasty. Leel is the best Safari guide you will ever find in Udawalawe. He knows all the best spots in the park and provided us the best Safari experience we could ever ask for. I wish Leel all the best and I definitely recommend you to visit.

Located 14 km from Udawalawe National Park, EdenHaven Cottage offers air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace. With garden views, this accommodation provides a patio. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. The cottage is new and clean. It is spacious and the bathroom is so beautiful as well as the terrace. We booked the safari with them and it was very great, the driver tried to avoid people.

As we really wanted to see wild elephants, we made a stop in Udawalawe, but spotting them wasn't our biggest suprise here. We stayed at the Amba Kola hotel and this was just the most wonderful experience. The kindest owners truely, the nicest room, a brand new and well kept pool, the most delicious food from the entire trip, and playful dogs amongst which the two most adorable puppies  🐶 As mentionned, the food was incredible and we had the chance to take part in the preparation by doing the cooking class with the owner. Something you should really try after a morning safari.  Janik is also so kind, ready to help you with anything, answer any question. He will make everything in his power to make you feel like the most valuable guest on the planet. If you are passing by, really we can't recommend it enough 😍 (we thought the 10 on booking was impossible. Well we thought wrong)

A baby safety gate is also available at Eagle Safari Cottage, while guests can also relax on the sun terrace. This property really is paradise! The pool is gorgeous and the gardens are beautiful. The rooms are self contained, large and modern! Lovely balcony looking over the jungle. The main man who looked after us (I cant remember his name but he makes the coffee!) was my favourite host in Sri Lanka so far. He was so helpful, warm and friendly and it was never too much! The coffee he makes is the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka!
