Very quick check in. The room was spacious, very clean with very comfortable bed. Breakfast fabulous. The hotel’s location is perfect-very close to the castle and all important viewing points. We had access to the lounge club which additionally made our stay very pleasant.

It was close the metro station, which was awesome. Great staff, we loved our stay.

We can definitely repeat our stay here. Everything, the room, facility, onsen, restaurant, food, services were exceptional. Our room was on the 6th floor, facing mount Fuji. We woke up watching the sunrise behind the mountain. Pink sky. Super lovely! There's an in room bath tub where you can bath and soak in Mr Fuji full-on. The hotel has all these little perks that shows their attention to details, how much they care for their guests well-being like free 'probiotic drink' in the morning (as much as you want to drink), ice popsicles (various flavors) for the afternoon until late night. Free ramen at 10pm, just in case you feel hungry. And of course, superb onsen facility!

Guests at Jizokan Matsuya Ryokan stay in rooms with shoji paper screens and traditional futon bedding. All rooms are air-conditioned and include a TV and slippers. If I could give 100 stars to this ryokan, I would do it! It was absolutely stunning experience in Nagano, the whole family and staff are extremely friendly, kind and polite. They receive lots of international travelers and they understand tourists needs. You MUST book dinners and breakfasts with them! It was amazing experience! On a practical note: rooms were authentic, hot water, heater were reliable. Location is superb, close to the temple and delicious snacks. This place is ideal for alternative travelers interested in local tradition and with the appreciation for culture and history: I wish the owners only the best customers!

Located in a 100 year-old Registered Tangible Cultural Property, Ryokan Hostel K's House is located in Shizuoka, a 7-minute walk from JR Ito Train Station. The hostel offers hot-spring baths, free Wi-Fi and 3 lounges. It was very nice and also liked the onsen a lot!
