I loved that the property was beach front! It was so relaxing waking up next to the water. The sauna was a great touch, we used it both days and it was such a treat! The rooms were beautifully furnished with fantastic views of the countryside and celtic ruins up on the hill. I loved sitting in the lounge in front of the simulated 'fireplace' watching the flames. So good to have a hot bath after cycling the island in the wind and rain. Not enough time to read the books about the island! You'll need to pick up any food items you need forom the village at the port before you head to the accommodation in the middle of the island.

Gorgeous property, much larger than we were expecting and the views were phenomenal!

The hotel is in the heart of the Gaeltacht where the Irish language is still spoken. In the local area there are good walks, boat rides and Dun Aongusa Fort. The hotel staff went above and beyond. I got a free upgrade into a chalet with a beautiful sea view. The pan fried sea bass I had for dinner was amazing. Everything was spotlessly clean and all the staff were great, particularly Joanna on reception who arranged for my phone charger to be put on the ferry to the mainland, after I left it in my room, and the hotel manager who took it down to the ferry port. Cannot fault this hotel, highly recommended.
