We did a kayak tour into San Ignacio which was super chill and the guide was very informative. Got to see monkeys and toucans!

Vanilla Hills Resort offers spacious bungalows located in the lush tropical jungle outside of San Ignacio. It is a short walk from the Mopan River and offers free Wi-Fi and parking. Beautiful hotel with so amazing cottages. Extremely clean and well built cabins, also very private. Beautiful and cozy landscaping all over with nice light and wildlife sounds. So cool outdoor showers in the cabins. Big beautiful pool and cozy sitting area. Very kind and personal service.

Amid the forests of the Blue Hole National Park, this property offers free Wi-Fi access, private parking and free bike rentals to sightsee the area. A tour desk is also available on site. One of the most amazing places I’ve ever stayed in the entire world. We loved the property and all of the amenities were incredible! Free kayaks and bicycles and hiking trails to lookouts and hanging bridges. The list goes on and on, it was my wife’s favorite hotel that she’s ever stayed in and that says a lot because we travel more than 50% of the year.

The hotel was great, and the staff was amazing. The rooms were clean and the pool was a plus too. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and both were very good. Everyone worked to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable and they were able to provide answers to all our questions about everything we wanted to do around San Ignacio. The only thing to note is that the hotel is a little outside of the town so you might need a car to get into the town, it’s about a 5-10 minute drive so not bad at all. Most tours will also pick you up from the hotel if needed.

Our bungalow at Yuma's Riverfront Lodge was gorgeous! Beautiful, modern design, luxurious bedding, spacious bathroom with rain shower, stocked bar fridge & snacks, and incredible rainforest views from our private deck. The new pool was very refreshing, and home-cooked breakfast served at their outdoor kitchen before our daily adventures was amazing! Our stay highly exceeded our expectations for the price - it was glorious for our family (2 adults and 2 teenagers). We used Xplore Inland Tours for three adventures near San Ignacio / Santa Elena: (1) Guided Moutain Pine Ridge Tour (including a visit to Rio Frio Cave, then a traditional Belizian picnic lunch, and a stop to swim in pools and waterfalls at Rio On Pools); (2) Guided Cave Tubing at Nohoch Che'en; and (3) Horseback Riding under the rainforest canopy along a beautiful river. This is a smaller, family-run tour operator that gave us private tours for a better price that huge tour operators with giant groups. Best of both worlds - our guides were amazing and we got such personalized service! They even picked us up and dropped us off at Yuma's Riverfront Lodge each day, instead of us having to find our own way into San Ignacio. Perfect! 10/10

"The Dog Momma" as she is known because of her group that helps lady street doggies also REALLY helped me out during my stay halfway up the hill in San Ignacio. She personally took me to three places to try to get cash out or cash back because I was having difficulty with the pin on my VISA cards! This was service above and beyond!

Absolutely loved our stay - this is a slice of paradise! Larry and Melanie were some of the best hosts we’ve ever had, they’re proud of the Belizean culture and history and we learnt so much from Larry while eating Melanie’s amazing meals. We basically stayed on site for the 3 nights we were there. We booked our tours through Larry and had the best tour guides Francis and Dan! Both so knowledgeable and caring. Definitely make sure eat at least once at this place, it was great! The place: We stayed in the biggest one bedroom unit. Beds are great quality, super comfortable and sturdy. The bathroom was really big which had a beautiful shower with a wee jungle view. While the pressure is a little low, it had a big enough shower head that we didn’t mind at all. Hot water everyday! The bath was amazing after a long day of walking. A big balcony with a hammock that overlooks the pool was a delight especially when it was raining. Beautiful walk down to the river where we saw toucans flying around. Saw a howler monkey for dinner and a gibnut lounging at the back of the property. Terletak di San Ignacio di kawasan Cayo dan Barton Creek Cave yang boleh disampai dalam 20km, Kane Villas - Mountain Pine Ridge mempunyai penginapan dengan WiFi percuma, kemudahan BBQ, kolam renang... It was so nice to have our own little villa in the rainforest. The area felt so secluded but also very clean and safe. We also had trails to a waterfall and cave towards the back of the property which was great for exploring when we didn’t feel like driving. The room was well stocked and we had everything we needed for our stay. We were really impressed by how well the screens kept the bugs out and we loved laying in the hammock in the screened in porch. It was a bit cold to swim in the pool but we liked heading there in the evenings to relax and enjoy the evening. It was also wonderful to use the grill by the pool and super easy.
