    Fantastic place that makes you feel that you have travelled back in time. The hosts are wonderful and the dinner concept (everyone eats at the same table) felt strange at the beginning, but turned out to be a lovely experience. The food was great, we were travelling with a picky toddler and he didn’t leave hungry. We’ve stayed for 2 nights and felt like it was too short.

    The house is beautifully furnished and art and decor selection outstanding, and renovated to reflect the age it was built in. The amenities and functionality of the kitchen/tea/coffee amenities are top class.

    Great location, we loved the communal kitchen area AND having our own mini kitchenette in our rooms. Our children felt 100% welcome and the family room was great for a family with young kids. Communication from the host was exceptional. Great value for money.

    We received a very warm welcome. The old schoolhouse is secluded in the mountains. Bronwyn and Colin have lovingly renovated and furnished it. We slept with the window open and enjoyed the peace and seclusion. There are several marked hiking trails, the river for swimming and boats for paddling. Our children loved the chickens, which they were allowed to feed. They are very tame and let themselves be stroked. Thank you all! We had a great time!
