The owners are very nice, I asked for early and late check in/ out and they were able to accommodate my request… I loved the separate shower, toilet, and wash up area, you could have three people getting ready at the same time… everything you need is provided, towels, toiletries, kitchen utensils, fridge, microwave, etc… the bed and pillows were very comfortable and fresh… two bedrooms (one has a double and the other a queen bed), tv’s in the rooms, there was also a washing machine… the entire apartment was air conditioned… one owner is a pastry chef and left me a plateful of macaroons along with bread, cheese, milk, sugar and coffee… there is plenty of living room and dining room space and the sofa was very comfortable and clean… when my transportation to the cruise port was canceled at the last minute, the owners stepped in and helped me with alternate arrangements… I was so grateful as a female Solo traveller for their help… the neighbours were very friendly… and the unit is centrally located, I saw many residents in the complex walking three or four blocks to the Main Street… there is an elementary school beside the house and a toddlers day care so it’s a family neighborhood… very peaceful and quiet…

I recently had the absolute pleasure of staying at the enchanting Hotel Le Suffren in Mauritius, and I must say, it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, my daughter and I were transported to a world of pure elegance and grace. One of the true highlights of our stay was the culinary journey we embarked upon at the hotel's restaurant, where we had the privilege of being dazzled by the extraordinary sushi chef, Ritchy. His artistry with sushi was a revelation, and the flavors danced on our taste buds like a symphony. In fact, it's safe to say that this dining experience was the pinnacle of our culinary adventures in Mauritius. During our stay, a minor maintenance issue cropped up in our room. However, I was absolutely astounded by the swift and professional manner in which the duty manager addressed the situation. Not only did they resolve the issue with precision and care, but they also surprised us with a gracious refund for one night's stay. This unexpected gesture of goodwill touched our hearts deeply. Hotel Le Suffren is not just a place to stay; it's a haven of exceptional hospitality and grace. The staff's dedication to ensuring their guests' happiness is nothing short of extraordinary. Their hospitality, kindness and knowledge of the city made our stay even better than we could have ever imagined. We stayed even longer because of this! The accommodation was comfortable, quiet and the little slice of home that we needed! We feel privileged to have met the wonderful owners and we cannot wait to stay again. We feel like we always have friends to call on in Mauritius now thanks to their warm welcome!
