Michaela, her daughters and her staff are some of the warmest and most welcoming folks I've met in the hospitality industry. For the access to notoriously pricey Venice (40 minute train ride for under 10€ roundtrip), they offer a stunning bargain. They also also offer meals, cooking classes and truly excellent recommendations for special experiences in the region. If you're going to be near Piombino Dese, STAY. HERE.

The apartment is very spacious, nicely furnished and not expensive. I stayed there for one week in July and it keeps out the heat completely. The hosts were absolutely helpful and charming! I arrived on a Sunday evening, and they had filled the fridge for me, so dinner was all set. They gave me a brief introduction to sights worth seeing, and they also gave me a nice present. Supermarkets are less than 10 mins away, and all places I wanted to visit were in walking distance.
