Nestled near the serene lake, the Lake View Room we stayed in was an absolute delight – spacious, tastefully decorated, and designed to offer uninterrupted views of the tranquil waters. The room featured a large window and balcony overlooking the lake, which made for the perfect spot to enjoy early morning tea or unwind in the evening. The interiors blended traditional charm with modern comfort – plush bedding, elegant curtains, ambient lighting, and a well-maintained ensuite bathroom with all essentials provided. What stood out most was the attention to detail and cleanliness. The housekeeping team ensured everything was spotless and well-arranged each day. Service and hospitality were top-notch. The staff was courteous, quick to respond, and always went the extra mile to make our stay more enjoyable. Whether it was arranging a boat ride or suggesting local spots to explore, they were knowledgeable and accommodating. We also loved the poolside area, which stays open till late – a rare and thoughtful offering. The restaurant served delicious meals – from local flavors to dishes, all freshly prepared and beautifully presented. For those looking for a peaceful getaway with luxury, nature, and culture combined, the Lake View Room at Maharaja The Royal Resort is an unmatched experience. The farm is an oasis in Murbad (a small census town near Malshej Ghat). It consists of several Balinese villas (each self contained with a pool, villa and outside entertaining area) and glamping tents. We stayed in a villa and had the entire farm to ourselves. The staff were excellent in attending to every need and the food was varied and very tasty. We were also keen on a couple of treks around the area and Roshan was an excellent guide for two great treks. The whole experience felt very homely and welcoming so we would highly recommend Nehamrit Farms if you are planning to stay in the area. We had a personal tour of the farm that showed us the enormity of the produce farmed there.

Ü house is large and comfortable in a very quiet location. The owner is most hospitable and sees to your every need. As a guest you are offered the use - beside the bedroom with very good a/c and bathroom - of the large kitchen including crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, a spacious living room and a large roof top patio. The only improvement I would suggest are thicker, water absorbent bath towels. All in all, I highly recommend this accommodation. An extra benefit we enjoyed was that the host organised a three day car tour with a very good guide/driver who drove us to Lonovala with its buddhist Karla and Bhaja Caves, Raigad Fort, Brababgad Fort, Mahabaleshvar, Pune City Center and Aga Khan Palace, Shivneri Fort and Lenyadri Cave Temples.

A lovely hotel with great facilities, tucked away from the business of the Matheran town. It takes a little longer to get there from the taxi drop off but it's worth it for the beautiful location surrounded by trees and nature. The room was comfy and spacious, the shower was hot and the AC worked very well. I had a bar fridge as well which was great. The buffet breakfast was amazing every morning with a huge variety of indian foods, cereal, fruit and fresh juice. The pool was nice to sit in after a long day of walking. Balcony was also great to chill out on. Staff were all super friendly and the reception staff speak great English. Wonderful stay.

Room was very clean and nice. At all time hot water. The location is very close to the main view points and the market. It was quite and relaxing all the time.
