The welcome and check in process was really easy, very welcoming, and nice small touches like early check in and welcome card. The lounge area and facilities are brilliant and the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Really brilliant location too next to parking.

We loved everything about our stay. It was the perfect historical setting. The grounds were so beautiful to walk, watch the swans, or sit at the big window (if raining) and enjoy the gardens. It’s still close enough to town to see the sites or take a tour then return to a relaxing home. Sharing a house and meeting other travelers was a bonus. Most of all, we enjoyed our evening with the host (Mark) and his son (Harry) sharing stories. We highly recommend staying at the Shannon River House.

This accomidation truly blew me away — it was even better than the photos and far exceeded the description in the listing. Every detail had been thought of, from the cleanliness and comfort to the little extras that made it feel luxurious. Honestly, it felt more like a boutique hotel (only better) — quiet, private, beautifully decorated, and incredibly well-maintained.
