It is absolutely gorgeous. Super comfortable, impeccably clean, and absolutely beautiful. Muriel is incredible. She is kind, lovely and made the most delightful breakfast for us. All food sourced from local produce and carefully put together. Another plus was that when we came back from our day exploring, our rooms were clean and tidy. Honestly an amazing stay. They need 11/10 stars.

Staying at Château de Contay Guesthouse was an amazing experience that we will never forget. It was only after arriving that we understood that we were the only guests, having the castle all by ourselves (together with the peacock and some hens in the garden). The historical environment and beautiful original interior and furniture made it feel like staying in a museum oozing with ambience and ready to be explored. In the morning we were served a wonderful breakfast. This is something more than a guesthouse. It is a magical castle experience.

Location very good for visiting the War sites in the area. Outdoor area at rear of property had seating and also a hot tub,. There was a pool but it was not available during our stay.
