The room was spaceous, clean and with big windows and a lovely view. The bed had many warm blankets so we were never cold in the night! The restaurant and the host Darwin were amazing, too, every dish we had made was excellent!! And he was really eager to help, even he didn‘t speak a lot of english and we did not speak a lot of spanish :) Truly the best value for money we‘ve encountered in a long time and would come back anytime!

The place is located in a quite little town on the Panamerica and right at the foot of the incredible volcanos of iliniza and corazon! Making it the perfect place to rest and start adventures into the Nature like Cotopaxi national park. The food was the best we had on our vacation. The staff were extra kind and accommodating. Horseback riding, jacuzzi, billiards, darts, fireplace were all fun and relaxing. Sightseeing in the middle of 5 volcanoes (including mildly active Cotopaxi) between 6am and 8am was the absolute most awe-inspiring landscape view I have ever seen. Nobody saw the peak & plume for 3 weeks before we got there. Don't miss this destination on your itinerary!

A wonderful garden like base. it’s a real privilege to stay in Diego and Janeth‘s lovely casa. Cosy and spacious, spotlessly clean, outstanding breakfast and free tea around the lovely fireplace to return to in the evenings. Full of inspirational pictures from Diego’s climbing business and plenty of advice of how to enjoy the nearby area.

Tambopaxi is an truly exceptional place inside the National Parc. Through our window, we had a magnificent view on Cotapaxi Vulcano. Sleeping inside the National Parc has the great advantage that you can start a walk or a ride with horses at your door step. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant is good and the daily menu really fills up after a day of walking. A small but extremely lovely element was the fact that they light up the fireplace in your room at 17h00. Finally the place is "mountain" style so do not except a 5 star resort. But it fits perfectly in the environment and has a high standard. If you need transport, Guido with it's yellow school bus is a great person. You can ask his support through Tambopaxi Reception.
