You cannot beat the location in a pristine Gondwana rainforest. It is all right there. Just exit the reception, cross the access road and you are into the forest. The trails are well maintained, and the wildlife, vegetation, and scenery stunning. Amazingly, the restaurant is great too, and it is well set up for breakfast, all in a dining room with windows on the plants, and animals that visit there. I do not know about all the rooms, but ours was simply stunning with picture window views on each side, one to the next mountain range and the other into the forest.

Absolutely fabulous! We loved everything about our stay at Black Cockatoo. The house was clean, spacious, cosy and comfortable. The house was stocked with many amenities, even a Welcome bottle of bubbles (thank you!) lots of firewood for the chilly nights, games and blankets for outside. Everything we needed. I would definitely love to stay again with my family.

The location is near gorgeous waterfalls and hikes and the accommodation itself has a stream near it. The chalets are beautiful. Wayne is a gracious host who has been so helpful and accommodating despite last minute requests and questions. We celebrated my partner's birthday and with their help, we successfully surprised him. Mouses House gave us a much-needed relaxation after having been so busy with work and life. I think it is even more worth it staying longer instead of just a night. And for those who are into photos and aesthetics, every nook and cranny is instagrammable. I've made heaps of content there. We will surely come back.
