Three House Hotel features an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, a garden and terrace in Funchal. Three House - three words. They. Get. It. From the very warm welcome when we arrived, the lovely hotel tour we were taken on, to the beautifully furnished rooms. Everything felt just right. Like coming home. And not to forget mentioning the rooftop with 360° degree view of marvelous Madeira. Every single just detail seemed to be thoroughly considered when working out the concept of the hotel when it opened in 2019. Light scent of apple in the hallways, a fully equipped kitchen, a Harman Kardon bluetooth speaker and a TV that allowed you to stream your content via Apple AirPlay our Chromecast. What could mid-twenty travelers want more?! Not to forget the rooftop pool, DJ sets on the weekend and drinks that knock your socks off. Prior our arrival the Three House reached out via WhatsApp asking when we would arrive and whether transportation from the airport is needed. Like, did you ever communicate with a hotel through WhatsApp? Whenever we had a question or just wanted to know where the locals eat - we just sent a text and got the greatest recommendations that made our stay in Madeira even more memorable. Every hotel should just do that. It just feels so natural. If you visit Madeira and plan to stay in Funchal, this is the perfect place. It’s location in the city center with free parking let‘s you get to all attractions and Funchal’s old town in no time. Enjoy the traditional meat skewers and drink as much Poncha as you can (take it with ice though). If you fancy something more experimental, try the hotel restaurant with a sundowner drink on the rooftop after. The Three House just gets it how a hotel experience in the twenty first century should be. Thank you!

This restored Madeiran mansion is located 900 metres from Funchal's Old Town and has scenic views of the sea, the city and the mountains from its own botanical gardens and terraces. Everything about this property was amazing. The staff were wonderful, the rooms were spacious and clean, the location was perfect…. Close enough to walk into town, but far enough out of town that it felt peaceful and in touch with nature. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were quiet and felt secure.

Located on the Funchal seafront, this hotel offers panoramic views over the Atlantic. It provides rooms with kitchenettes and balconies, 2 pools and a spa centre with spa bath and sauna. Offering a terrace and city view, Alexia Room is set in Funchal, 1.7 km from Marina do Funchal and 15 km from Girao Cape. We left a 5 star villa in the mountains of Madeira to visit Alexia Room by cab and we did not miss a thing. Cookies, fresh fruit and coffee at arrival , an incredible view to enjoy every morning, we had a great stay. The host is awesome.

Dona I Apartments at Botanical Garden features sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Funchal, 1.9 km from Almirante Reis Beach. The owners are extremely helpful and friendly before and during the trip. It all felt very genuine and comfortable.

In the Santa Maria district of Funchal, close to Almirante Reis Beach, Agnelo Comfort - Accommodation H V has free WiFi and a washing machine. This guest house features accommodation with a balcony. We had an amazing stay at this comfortable apartment! Central location to the market across the street and grocery stores and bus and the waterfront promenade. It felt like we were locals going to the grocery store and taking the bus, not like tourists! The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything you could possibly need! We loved it! Jose was a wonderful host and he was in touch with us from the moment we landed at the airport and any time we had a question he was quick to answer all of our questions! We didn't have a problem with noise from the market early morning but we always travel with a white noise machine so we didn't hear anything. We found the bed super comfortable. We were there for almost 2 weeks and cannot wait to go back to Madeira and hope that Jose's apartment is available when we do!! Thank you so much Jose!!

Featuring a patio with garden views, a garden and a terrace, Solar do Ribeiro can be found in Funchal, close to Almirante Reis Beach and 1.7 km from Marina do Funchal. Great location. 10-15 minutes walk to the city center. Clean, modern apartment. Kitchen is well equipped. Daily cleaning, space for a small car was a plus for us.

Attractively located in the Santa Maria district of Funchal, Apartments Madeira City Center is situated 600 metres from Almirante Reis Beach, 1.4 km from Marina do Funchal and 14 km from Girao Cape. Our host was great, she gave us a lot of useful informations and tips about the best places in Funchal. The apartment was very spacious with fully equipped kitchen. There was a parking lot close by which we really appreciated while renting a car. Overall a great experience.
