The location is convenient for tourist visit but also preciously tranquil.
The facilities are cozy and good designed, comfortable for both private room and public area.

This ryokan is just so good! The staff here is SO kind and helpfull and respectfull even for japanese standards.
The breakfast is so delicious and large you will be full untill dinner. You can choose between multiple options each day.
Public bath is very clean and spacious.
Rooms are tidy, clean and offer all ammenities.
You get delicious takayama water every evening in your room and also some japanese snacks.
Once again, the staff made our stay so pleasant and memorable. We also got little presents at checkout from amazing front desk lady.
Next time we visit Takayama, we have already decided where we will stay!

Absolutely amazing! Our best experience in Japan! The ryokan is so well let and well decorated, and everyone was very accommodating and kind. The onsen was also great and breakfast was delicious. I would come to Takayama again just for the chance to stay here again.

Absolutely everything, location is fantastic, the breakfast is wonderful, there are a lot of free things which really makes you feel so welcome. We had access to free laundry facilities, our fridge had free drinks in it, the staff were just amazing and the location was brilliant

Our stay was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and care. The reception area, where we met our wonderful host, was stunning, setting the tone for our experience. We were greeted with tea and snacks, which was such a thoughtful touch.
The hospitality continued as we were kindly driven to our house, which surpassed all our expectations. It was the quintessential traditional Japanese experience, blending authenticity with comfort. Every detail was perfect—from the delicious breakfast delivered to our door each morning to the serene outdoor tub, the plush and cozy beds, and the exquisite Japanese décor.
