Breakfast was an amazing experience, beautifully presented. The girl who went through all the things in the room with us was amazing, friendly and polite. great location, walking distance to everything. Next time we would have our evening meal there because there wasn't much open in the evening for dinner.

Absolutely stunning. I'm so glad I booked this house.
Sitting in the hot tube was amazing especially while it was raining outside. It is not an Onsen, just a hot tube (as advertised). Fantastic experience.

Our hosts were amazing. Apple pie to welcome us and lots of information to help us plan our stay. The rooms are warm and cozy and the hot shower was great. A nice quiet location but so close to everything meant we walked everywhere. Shared a wonderful meal out with our hosts on our last night at one of their favorite local restaurants. Sleeping arrangements for a larger group were great. Everyone got their own space.

I cannot say enough good things about this property, it was amazing from start to finish and far exceeded my expectations. The location for starters is brilliant, right in the historic centre of town and close to everything. The traditional house is gorgeous, even nicer than the photographs and feels very newly decorated, all the detailing is beautiful. The beds are very comfortable and the house is very well equipped with nice touches like tea/coffee, water in the fridge, lots of toiletries etc. Finally the staff were so friendly and accommodating and we were able to check out slightly later and store our luggage while we waited for our bus. We loved our stay here and highly recommend it for a stay in Takayama!
