The guesthouse is like home. Very nice neighborhood. Everything you need is there. The host is also very kind and accommodating, he even offered to pick me up at the station and gave me a lift to the train station when I checked out. You can visit nearby temples like Kinkaku-ji. A bit far from train and bus station but accessible for commuters. Not a big deal though. Budget friendly

Everything was excellent! Better than the photos, every corner is beautiful and artistic. I love the time in this house. The old couples are also nice to us.

The house has everything... And more! It is really traditional, with a lot of cultural objects to admire. The host was amazing at all times and helped us with everything we needed - he also provided a bike for every single person! Would definitely recommend.

Great hosts. The owners are very kind and friendly - its fantastic to chat with the chef while he is preparing the dinner. He gave us a ride for an early morning tour and even managed to find us one of the clay cooking pots.
The place is a bit out of central kyoto but perfect for avoiding crowds- and for a bit more of an authentic experience

If you're looking for the authentic Kyoto Japanese style living, this is the place to be. I particularly enjoyed the small center courtyard where I spend time reading everyday. The neighborhood is lovely and safe. Every amenity is just steps away. If you can ride a bike everywhere, it'll be even nicer.

This house was fun! A machiya of the 21st century, full of gadgets, quirky and amazing, with every niche giving a different surprise. We loved the garden, had some dinners outside looking into it. We LOVED to use the bikes around the neighbohood, especially going to the bathouse, temples and restaurants - that made us feel really like the locals. The nearby Kyoto-style restaurant, and its next door sushi place are amazing. The location of the house is great - quiet old neigbohood, close to the center and ideal point from which to explore such a special city/province.
Offering free WiFi and free private parking, someya - Vacation STAY 33875v is situated in Kyoto, just 1.9 km from Kinkaku-ji Temple.

Very nice place overall. The staff was excellent. Very big rooms. Highly recommend if you want to feel a true Japanese experience. We booked with dinner and breakfast. The food was very tasty and so much! They brought us like 20 little different little plates we were really stuffed. But we ate it all. From our windows we could see the beautiful garden and hear the water flowing that it was so relaxing. The room had a bathtub that had hot water to relax in your room if you didn't want to go to public baths.
The public bathes were very relaxing with view of the mountain.
