Very clean and nice facilities (laundry, showers, snacks, large lounge room, enough bathrooms). Quite a lot of amenities that are accessible through longer stays. Meeting other travelers, although brief, was very fun and cool - the place definitely encourages some socializing as you will run into each other here and there. Good security, I was not worried about my luggage at all - would recommend keeping valuables with you in the capsule just in case. Definitely best staying here for more than 2 nights to maximize the experience (I only stayed one night unfortunately).

Ryokan Tori is located in Kyoto, 2 km from Kitano Tenmangu Shrine. The property is around 2.3 km from Nijo Castle and Kyoto Imperial Palace.

The hosts were incredible. From the warm welcome, the private onsen preparation, to the tea ceremony. We truly felt so pampered and relaxed. Definitely the highlight of our Kyoto trip. What an experience.

Nicely renovated japanese house in the old part of town, about 10 minutes from the imperial palace. Toni and his wife are lovely hosts, it felt like we were guests in their home. The shared facilities are clean and good. We stayed in a smart room were everything was connected, very convenient! Warmly recommend.

agoThis is by far the best hotel i have ever stayed at. Beautiful hidden gem The room was spacious and having your own private onsen was amazing. The staff were very kind and helpful. Pros: - hotel looks so pretty and has that traditional Japanese style -Spacious room, clean and looks so neat. -arrival little sweets - you have all the stuff you need in this hotel including makeup removes, facial toners and serum. -private onsen. -beds are super comfortable -staff are helpful and friendly -able to send your luggage to your next destination - 15 mins walk from the station - there are cafes and familymart nearby. Thank you for having us. We had the best time staying at your hotel.

The hotel is a small boutique hotel located by Kamogawa river, close to subway and Eizan railway. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and always willing to help. I have been to Kyoto many times but staying at Riverte Kyoto Kamogawa had definitely made this trip even more enjoyable and comfortable. The hotel provides different local sweets and snacks everyday in the room so it’s always a surprise what I come back and find. The amenities in the room is well equipped with superb quality. I would highly recommend this hotel if you’re ever in Kyoto and wish to stay somewhere away from the busy downtown. Look forward to stay here again in the future. PS. Crosta deliver my luggage to the hotel since I arrived very early in the morning. Then it’s hassle free to wander around without dragging the luggage to the hotel before check-in time. Wow ! What a great, big hotel room. Looked better in real life! We were sad to stay for only 1 night. No breakfast but very comfortable and convenient kitchen.
