The hotel is situated on a gorgeous island just a short boat ride from Xiamen. We were given a fantastic room that far exceeded our expectations and really made our stay on Guyangyu special. The reception staff took care to meet us from the boat and communicated via WeChat very well, they even recommended an excellent restaurant. We will return.

The island of Gulangyu is a fantastic place to stay, and this hotel was well located on the island. The hotel had a fantastic boutqiue feel, with very accommodating and friendly staff, clean and well designed rooms, good AC, local cuisine for breakfast, and a lovely boutique art shop in the hotel as well. We travelled with friends and family (including a small child) and everyone enjoyed their stay. Additionally, there is plenty close to the hotel including restaurants, convenience stores and other shops.

The best part was probably our experience with 吴琳 （Vinnie). After checking out, we waited at the waiting area and 吴琳 kindly approached us for assistance. We love the operator's proactive and genuine helpfulness. From the moment we were expected to arrive till check out. The location is fantastic. We were thankful we chose to stay here 1st to experience the area before moving to the busier part of the island. The whole place is really perfect for a relaxed holiday.
