We had an absolutely fantastic stay at 't Fraeyhuis. This boutique hotel is beautifully situated in the heart of a charming medieval town, surrounded by picturesque streets and historic architecture. The atmosphere is truly special—quiet, peaceful, and full of character. The hotel itself is a perfect mix of old-world charm and modern comfort. The rooms are newly renovated in a stylish, contemporary design, yet the common areas, including the stunning courtyard garden and cozy bar, reflect a lovely medieval-inspired aesthetic. It’s the best of both worlds. Our room was spotless, the beds were extremely comfortable with high-quality box spring mattresses, and despite the central location, it was completely quiet at night. The hotel is tucked into a delightful neighborhood, making it the perfect base for exploring the city on foot. It is such a wonderful "inn" we could happily have stayed in the hotel if the weather was not good. And that was our backup plan. The location could not be better. A very quick walk to Makt and Berg and easy access to the real Brugge on the outer rings. We had the attic room with some stunning views over the canal as the sun set. The number 2 bus was an easy way to get to and from the station. Giles is a terrific host. Very accommodating, full of great advice on where to eat non-tourist food.
