There is bathroom lighting and strong wifi signal in the rooms when there is loadshedding. The breakfast room was charming with a lovely outdoor courtyard. Breakfast was delicious.

Although it was just a quick stop, the host went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She kindly arranged our dinner in advance, making a reservation and even placing the order before we arrived. Throughout, she was warm, attentive, and thoughtful, coordinating every detail seamlessly. What touched us most was that she even followed up after we checked out to ensure we reached our next destination safely. This kind of genuine care and service is rare, and it truly made us feel special. Highly recommend!

We stayed in the penthouse suite, and it was absolutely amazing! 🏖️ The room was incredibly spacious, with panoramic windows offering breathtaking views of the ocean — we even spotted whales! 🐋 Complimentary wine and a fully stocked minibar, along with a coffee machine, snacks, and fresh fruits, added a luxurious touch. The suite also featured a steam room and jacuzzi, which were fantastic for relaxing. The warm welcome with coffee and juices set the tone for a great stay ☕🧃. Breakfast was excellent, with made-to-order omelets or eggs and a delicious buffet. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help, making our stay even more enjoyable. 🙌 The location was perfect — all the best restaurants are just a 5-minute walk away, and there’s an oceanfront trail ideal for walks and runs with stunning views 🌊🏃‍♂️. Just a step away from the famous Hermanus Cliff Paths, Bamboo has elegantly decorated rooms with hand crafted bamboo furniture. All rooms have a flat-screen satellite TV, a seating area and a work desk. The breakfast was amazing. The location is perfect, close to town if you want to walk in but far enough that it is not too noisy. 400 meters from the beautiful cliff path walk. The staff are all very welcoming, especially Teressa who helped us to book a Whale Watching tour last minute when ours was cancelled and provided us with great recommendations for local routes and markets for our onward journey. The beds were very comfortable and the shower had excellent pressure.

Katherine was the best host ever!!! My friend, and I book this a few hours before staying at Kapensis! Katherine helped us with every request we asked from sending us the GPS coordinates to pharmacies and a great dinner restaurant. She went above and beyond driving to the restaurant to meet us once we were finished the help assist us in finding the Properties location (GPS issue with our phones). She even gave us medicine for our allergies!

All of the rooms at Swellendam Guest House have a veranda with direct access to the garden. The rooms feature a satellite TV, a minibar and a fan. Some rooms offer views of the Langeberg Mountains. The room was really nice and it was clear that a lot of thought was put into the decorations. The car was washed overnight which was a nice surprise in the morning. The host were great, they even helped us out when we freaked out about a big spider in the bathroom before we wanted to go to sleep. Breakfast was also really nice
