Octant Douro located in Vista Alegre, Castelo de Paiva. Offering a stunning infinity pool the hotel overlooks the Douro River blending itself with the surrounding nature. Best experience I had staying in a hotel, I can't wait to come back. Everything was perfect and the hotel itself is so beautiful. The room was very spacious, comfortable, they even offer you a pillow menu so you can be as comfortable as possible. Every night they leave a tea table ready for you. The food is really good and we enjoyed every minute!

Nestled along the Douro River, Douro Hotel Porto Antigo. is housed in a historic building. It features an outdoor swimming pool, in-house massages and a restaurant serving European dishes. I recently had my wedding ceremony at this hotel and it is THE BEST. Such a wonderful, gorgeous location on the Douro river. Nice outdoor bar/restaurant and pool lounge area. Easy to grab a boat ride or arrange visits to quintas in the area. Staff work around the clock to make the place comfortable and accomodating. The food is great. Can't recommend it enough!

Quinta da Casa Cimeira, Guest House, Wines & Food menghadap ke Lembah Sungai Douro yang indah. Ia terletak di dalam sebuah rumah desa yang bersejarah dan dikelilingi dengan taman dan ladang anggur. Very clean and comfortable rooms , great food. I loved the cats . We definitely want to come back.

Very nice and helpful stuff. Cozy and comfortable rooms, wonderful garden, excellent breakfast, lovely cats. Unfortunately we stay only one night, but I will come back with the next occasion.

Casa da Azenha is very special place where to enjoy surrounded nature, beautiful property garden with lemon, lime, orange and humus trees and touch of history of the owners family. Its like to stay in the castle or museum where each interior detail has history and story. And the host Maria was so helpful with everything. She booked restaurants for us and give as a plan for rainy day. Would like to come back in some sunny time when we could spend some time at the pool as well.

What sets Portugal apart in the post pandemic world of tourism is the fact that they’ve reached that stage in between early and fully matured tourism. This allows for exceptional service which we received in all four locations we stayed at but the proprietors, Margaride and her brother Luis stand out as above and beyond the others Beginning all the way with my reservation that was made six months ahead, Margaride continuously communicated via WhatsApp with me. Sending me a wealth of information about the area including restaurant choices, tourist attractions and answering every question I had about driving, weather, culture, wine tasting and everything else, it was beyond what I expected and then some. She also helped make dinner reservations. The property itself is stunningly gorgeous. Set on a hillside with an amazing view of the valley, the three large bungalows are large, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. There’s a small pool overlooking the valley although the water was kept insanely cold by our standards. Luis runs the wine business and arranged a tasting for us when we arrived. Explaining the industry and business in great detail, it’s a nice start to visiting the area. Although breakfast is not included, Margaride brought us local breads and pastries from the town and left them at our door. There’s full kitchen facilities should you choose to cook. Be aware that the roads of the Duoro Valley are quite narrow, very twisty and turns and hazardous at night if you’re unfamiliar with that type of driving. But do make an effort to float down the river on a ribello (the boats they used to carry wine downriver), visit Quinta Nova or other quality vineyards and explore the charming town of Lamego nearby. Priced exceptionally well for such a beautiful location, the property is beautiful and the proprietors work way too hard which benefits all their customers. Five stars and no negative comments.

Quinta do Tedo is an award-winning agrotourism that provides accommodation with breakfast included. Everything!!! From the check in to port tasting amd tour, rooms were very big, stylish, clean, professional with the best views. Food at the restaurant blew us away! 10/10 for our experience! Highly reccomend We will be back for sure!
