Re-opened in 2012 after thorough renovations, the Tokyo Station Hotel is registered as an Important Cultural Property and boasts gorgeous rooms in a classical European style. Can’t recommend enough. Would love to stay again in the future.

Situated in the Asakusa area, Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu has a history of 70 years. The accommodation boasts a view of the Tokyo Skytree from its Hinoki wood bath. The host and the staff went above and beyond for me! They have helped me ship my luggage to the airport, they were very helpful, patient and friendly. The room was amazing, I slept so well there. And the baths… WOW! I would go back in a heartbeat!

Shiba Park Hotel terletak hanya 2 minit berjalan kaki dari Stesen Kereta Api Bawah Tanah Onarimon dan 4 minit berjalan kaki dari Stesen Kereta Api Bawah Tanah Daimon. I can't find a fault, and I will try to go back when I'm in Tokyo. The location was perfect, quiet, with two metro stations really close and a lot of conbini around. A very good place to start and visit the whole city. Free coffee and tea at the reception (we don't have breakfast, only coffee in the morning, so that was ideal), a comfortable lounge with library at your disposal. The room was of adequate size, with a table and small sofa for snacking. Beds were comfy and the bathroom clean and spacious enough, even though quite small.

Open from December 2015, Richmond Hotel Premier Tokyo Schole is located just a 2-minute walk from Oshiage Subway Station, the closest station from the Tokyo Skytree. Opened in August 2014 after a thorough renovation, Hotel Ryumeikan Ochanomizu Honten has been offering heartfelt hospitality for more than a century. The room was exactly as advertised. It was roomy and luxurious. Staff was also helpful. My husband celebrated his birthday there and they provided a small birthday cake for us.

Set within a historic Japanese garden, Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo offers spacious rooms with garden or city views and free Wi-Fi. This is an exquisite hotel, beautifully and authentically Japanese. The staff were very caring and helped teach me some Japanese! I was there solo and I felt very nurtured and safe in this stunning place.

Ryokan Kamogawa Asakusa is a 2-minute walk from Kaminarimon and Sensoji Temple. Asakusa Subway Station is a 5-minute walk away. The staff is so kind and helpful.
