Right on the shore of the scenic Kawaguchiko Lake, Hotel New Century boasts spacious Japanese-style rooms overlooking the lake and Mount Fuji. Everything. It was everything I was expecting to find in a Japanese style hotel. The staff was adorable, everything was perfect.

Featuring great views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi, Konanso boasts natural hot spring baths and large Japanese-style rooms with traditional tatami (woven-straw) flooring. Amazing experience of a traditional ryokan. The staff was excellent, kind and helpful at all times, rooms were clean and tidy, ours had an amazing view of the lake. You can use most of the facilities for free with some additional ones having a fee. We chose the included dinner and breakfast option, dinner was an amazing experience full of flavors and textures we were not used but definitely liked. Breakfast was pretty good, buffet style, but with both Japanese and western options. In terms of location, I think it’s really good depending on what you want to visit. It is just in front of the lake, and has the red line (i think) bus stop right in front of it, which we used to get there from the train station and to get to other tourist spots around the lake. There’s a lawson just outside, the boat ride in the lake and the panoramic ropeway are also just a few minutes walk away which was very convenient.

Offering beautiful Mount Fuji views from all rooms, public baths, and restaurants, Mizno Hotel is a 5-minute drive from Kawaguchiko Train Station. The view of Fujisan from the room was exceptional!!

Luxurious ryokan Fuji Onsenji Yumedono is located just 500 metres from Lake Kawaguchiko. This was an exceptional stay. While the onsen doesn't offer a direct view of mount Fuji, we could clearly see it on our drive over thanks to clear skies. When we entered the premises, the staff was attentive immediately. From taking our luggage to making sure we were set up in our room. The room was SPACIOUS, with a lounge area and bedroom with screens to close off sections. The highlight was having our own outdoor bath to enjoy during cold winter nights. Perhaps the most breathtaking aspect of our stay were the meals. We were blown away by our dinner. It was the best thing we ate during out entire trip in Japan (we were in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto prior). We enjoyed a sumptuous parade of dishes that really showed off the local ingredients. We didn't think it could get better, but breakfast the next day was equally, if not more, delicious. While expensive, we enjoyed a serene getaway with our private outdoor bath and excellent meals. Would love to return.

A 7-minute walk from Lake Kawaguchi, the 2-person cottages at Ururun have a quaint European charm and offer a spa bath with Mount Fuji views. The owner was very helpful and she went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. She provided kitchen condiments when we reached which was very thoughtful. Later she dropped us at the bus station in her car. The location was beautiful and serene. We could see Mount Fuji from every place in house.

The views from the men's spa area toward Mount Fuji were incredibly beautiful. The spa also looked down on the lake. The Japanese breakfast was simply amazing.

K’s House Mount Fuji is a 19-minute walk from Kawaguchiko Train Station. It offers simple accommodation with free Wi-Fi, a free-use kitchen and spacious lounge in the popular Mount Fuji area. Lots of space in the Rooms and nice common area! Super friendly staff!

We liked everything about Kawaguchiko Station Inn and hopefully, we will be back one day! The owner/main receptionist was the best, provided us with a hose for cleaning our shoes after a very rainy hike as well as pointed us to where the washing machine was. Apart from that the rooms are so authentic and feel so nice to have a change from nice hotels in Tokyo. There was a matcha tea set in the room as well as super nicely fitting robes in the room for the gender-separated spas upstairs. The location is superb in front of the train station or buses for Mt. Fuji hike. The beds we made ourselves were very comfy.
