Surrounded by four gardens that change colours throughout the seasons, Kanazawa Sainoniwa Hotel offers spa facilities and an on-site restaurant. Probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The hotel itself is lovely, but the staff create such a nice friendly atmosphere. They really made it an exceptional experience. The breakfast was great, even as a vegan couple we had some choices (although quite limited amount).

Murataya is 2 km from JR Kanazawa Train Station and a 10-minute walk from Kenroku-en Garden. The traditional Japanese accommodation offers a public bath and free Wi-Fi access. The staff were lovely, they even carried our bags for us. The room has heating which was perfect as we visited in February. The futons were comfortable and the room was spacious. There was also a private bath you could use which was such a bonus. I recommend you stay here if visiting Kanazawa.

Offering stylish rooms with free Wi-Fi and a private bathroom is Hotel Resol Trinity, 1.2 km from JR Kanazawa Train Station. An Italian restaurant with breakfast buffet is featured. We stayed at this hotel for 2 night and it was the best price/quality offer during our 2 weeks travel in Japan. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well equipped. The hotel is well situated: 2 min by foot from Omicho market, 10 min from Kanazawa Castle Park, 15 min from Higashi Chaya District, 12 min from Nagamachi (samurai) district. Definitely this hotel deserves the highest recommendation.

Dormy Inn Kanazawa is located in front of Kanazawa Station, a 2-minute walk from JR Kanazawa Station. Their after hot bath treats is super great. Free ice cream, comics and coffee. If you don’t like free stuff. They have vending machine of cold milk and other drinks too. Their breakfast is must-try too. Japanese breakfast with marinated salmon. Oh, and don’t forget their infamous Yonaki Soba that serve only at night as supper. What a devil 😆
