Friendly staff who try their best to help. They provide free shuttle when I arrived/departed.

Boasting various hot spring baths, hot tubs and an indoor swimming pool, Daiichi Takimotokan is historic accommodation with Japanese-style guest rooms. The onsens were amazing and all the facilities. I had so much fun time soaking up in different onsens and saunas. It was very very relaxing. The location is also very good.

Bus station just across the road - good for getting up to the ski field. However it is a city bus, and doesn't account for additional skiers on good ski days.

A shortish walk down the road from the station. Lovely hotel with a nice atmosphere. Very helpful staff. A nice old-fashioned (in the best possible way) hotel right on the canal. A good sized room with comfortable beds and a great view. Appreciated the clear instructions on towel changing, cleaning etc.
