Surrounded by beautiful gardens, Shamrock Lodge Hotel is a family-run hotel located in the very centre of Ireland, just 5 minutes’ walk from the restaurants, bars, and nightlife of Athlone town... Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is beautiful but only a short walk to the beautiful ciry of Athlone.

Set within calm surroundings of lawns and gardens close to Roscommon Town Centre, this charming 18th-century manor house has a leisure centre, award-winning restaurant and free parking. The environment was very clean and a lot of space for cars.

On the banks of the River Shannon, Radisson Blu Hotel, Athlone is situated in the town centre, overlooking the historic Athlone Castle. The hotel has a modern leisure club and stylish restaurant. Very comfortable bed, spacious, fresh, clean room with bathtub and a shower. Staff were very attentive and helpful.

Gleeson's Restaurant & Rooms is a lovingly restored 19th-century townhouse offering accommodation in Roscommon town centre, overlooking the town square. Beautiful, welcome, no extra charge for my dog. Staff pet friendly and great food, comfy lounge.

In Athlone's lively centre, this 4-star Sheraton Hotel has a 20-metre pool, a luxury spa, free internet and free parking. My stay at Sheraton was amazing. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the train station, which is a great catch. After booking, the hotel reservation team sent me a link to its website, which has fabulous ideas of activities you can explore while in Athlone. There was constant communication from the team ahead of my arrival. It was my birthday and they made it so special, the personnel at the reception wished me a Happy Birthday as I walked in, and on walking to into my room I was welcomed with a plate of cake, chocolate and a birthday card from the hotel management. Everything about my stay was perfect. The pool, spa, breakfast, and dinner were indeed amazing. The staff are so courteous, they were always ready to help and were beaming with smiles always. I highly recommend and would definitely return when next I visit Athlone. The oldest pub in Ireland, "Sean's bar," is a 10 mins walk away, too 😊

Nestled in Monksland, a residential suburb of Athlone town, The Athlone Springs Hotel is less than a 6-minute drive from Athlone town centre. I was astounded when I walked into the room and saw the lounge area, huge TV, lovely bedroom and large bathroom. On checkout I was told I had been upgraded to the presidential suite, which was amazing. Breakfast was buffet style, with all you could ask for. A wonderful stay.

Located in Athlone town centre, Arch House is just 2 minutes' walk from the historic Athlone Castle, Old Town, and River Shannon. Very central and wonderful friendly welcome and perfect advice for a short stay. Easy parking.
