Just 500 metres North of Carlow in a quiet mature area (a 10-minute stroll), Avlon House Bed and Breakfast is an ideal base for touring the South-East of Ireland. We had a lovely stay in a wonderful place with a nice host. The breakfast was delicious with a lot of hot dishes to choose from. Very spacious rooms with very comfortable beds

Nestled against the banks of the River Barrow and surrounded by luscious green grounds, the 4-star Woodford Dolmen Hotel Carlow is located just outside Carlow. Every thing was perfect, the staff couldn't do enough for us, beautiful grounds, picture perfect

Loved our stay here and would recommend it to anyone. I'm sorry I didn't get the girl on receptions name, but she was so nice and helpful, and made us feel at home from the get go. The cocktails in the bar are amazing, my partner likes an Old Fashioned cocktail, and even tho I don't think it was on the menu, the lovely lad with the tattoos made him one, and it was one of the best ones he had in a long time. Overall 10/10 for the stay.
