With respect to the local architecture, the stone-built Nereids Guesthouse enjoys views of the Saronic Gulf and Hydra Town from its furnished terraces. We were lucky to find this place still available! It’s just a 5-minute walk from the port and easy to reach—no stairs to climb to get there. The room was spacious, airy, very clean, and had a super comfortable bed. No mosquitoes, and some nice bathroom amenities were provided. We even had bottled water waiting for us in the room. The staff was incredibly kind—he helped us carry our luggage upstairs without us even asking. Towels were changed every day, which was a nice touch. Each room has a small patio, and the view from our room was absolutely incredible. He also recommended a few restaurants nearby, and all of them were excellent. The closest beach, Kaminia, is about a 15-minute walk away. You can easily walk everywhere from the property. We stayed for 4 nights and would definitely come back again!

With its warm and welcoming staff, this traditional mansion is just a 3-minute walk from Hydra’s port and features beautifully appointed guest rooms with views of Hydra or the sea. On arrival we were welcomed by Nicholas who was extremely friendly and helpful. A great start to our stay. We were on the first floor and the room was a good size, the bed comfy, good wardrobe space, good air con, nice to have windows to open and let the sun in (even through the massive heat wave). The bathroom itself was small but did the job for our 5 night stay. The shower was a bit of a let down - very tight squeeze to get in and shut the doors (and we are average build). If we moved without thinking about this small space, we accidentally nudged the tap off or to the hot or cold side. Had to be super careful in that respect. The free breakfast was out of this world amazing, tasty, different every day, home cooked/made, abundant (got us through to the afternoon!). We looked forward to it every morning and ate 90 to 100% of it. Jenni was an amazing hostess who presented us with this breakfast daily and she tolerated my “5 to 6 cup coffee” husband with delightful dry humour! She always had a funny comment to make. Loved her! One of the house maids was super friendly and greeted us every time we saw her - sorry I didn’t get her name! Unlucky for us it was a heat wave the whole 5 days there so going back and forth from the city centre was quite the trek for this unfit oldish woman, but I achieved it 4 or 5 times a day, albeit puffed on arrival. On a cooler day it would be very pleasant. A thousand thank you’s Jenni, Nicholas and friendly housemaid - you made our stay in Hydra magical. The location to restaurants, shops and the harbour was fantastic. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The use of the rooftop clothes line to dry swimwear and towels after a day at the beach was such a bonus

Centrally located in picturesque Hydra Island, the family-run Pension Erofili is just 400 metres from rocky Spilia Beach. Excellent location, super nice hosts and very helpful. Quite, yet centrally located and very easy to get around. Room was very nice size and comfortable. Nice small garden to enjoy setting outside and eating breakfast or having drinks.

Boasting magnificent views overlooking Hydra, the recently renovated Hotel Hydra is a turn-of-the-century building set in the heart of the island of Hydra. We fell in love with the island and this charming boutique hotel. The view from the bed in the Junior Suite was insanely beautiful. The staff, especially the hostesses, was very friendly and helpful (extra grateful for the recommendations and care of Dafni). The breakfast was fine! The mattresses are hard, we liked it, but it comes to preference.
