The Hotel Alexander is located right at the Messe Basel fairgrounds and the Congress Centre, a 7-minute ride from the centre of Basel. The tram stop is right outside. Free Wi-Fi is available. Staff was friendly, room was clean, breakfast was fine :)

The free public transport card provided to guests is a real lifesaver. Breakfast can be ordered for an additional fee (CHF 8). Common spaces are cozy, clean, well maintained. The staff is helpful and friendly. In the context of Swiss prices, the price of accommodation is not very high (city tax - CHF 4 per night - paid at the reception).

Situated in a historic building in central Basel, Euler Hotel is opposite the SBB Train Station. Guests receive a Mobility Ticket, granting free access to all means of public transport. Great experience. Far better than we had in Mulhouse on our stop to Colmar. Basel and this hotel in contrast were wonderfully organized and welcoming. Only problem that i had was the noise of the trams right under our window but not enough to hinder our sleep after a tiring day of exploring the city.

Extremely comfortable and modern. Excellent view of the river. Tram was a 2 minute walk. We ate at the outdoor restaurant on one evening g and the food was excellent and service outstanding.
