Pension Bergfried is located in Hallstatt, 150 metres from the shore of Lake Hallstatt. It offers functionally furnished rooms, some with a balcony. If you come to Hallstad by car, this hotel is for you! The location of the hotel is excellent, from the window we could see the salt mine, the historical part is just around the corner. The staff is very welcoming and was able to resolve the issue since we did not specify a child and our room was not designed for three. The problem has been resolved, but this can be critical if the hotel does not have additional options, so be sure to inform the hotel about this if you are planning a trip with a child. Thank you ladies! The hotel has parking, but there is no guarantee, we were lucky.

Renovated in 2015, this hotel in Obertraun on Lake Hallstatt in the Salzkammergut region offers panoramic views of the scenic lake and the Dachstein Massif. The place was really nice and the breakfast is perfect. It’s near by the train station and the harbor. There was a technical issue so we had no hot water for the first night but the hotel dealt with it really well and we got 50% discounts.
