The location is excellent and transport is convenient. It is near the MRT station with a few big shopping malls offering lots of eatery choices. It is also near to some tourists spots. The staff are nice and friendly. We are upgraded to a bigger room on the top floors. As our tourist bus is leaving at 1:50 pm, the receptionist, named Rose Huang, generously extend our check-out time to 2 pm. We then have lunch at its Chinese restaurant which serves good Cantaonese cuisine. This is our 2nd stay at this hotel. I think we will book this hotel again if we come to this city again.

Most pleasant stay ever in China, it was obvious that the hotel designs were foreign and the training was international, totally exceeded all my expectations I stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment, it's spacious, has all the amenities imaginable, the bathroom uses Kohler and Grohe, never seen that in China. In the restaurant, when the staff was picking up my husband's finished plate at breakfast, I said to the lady that I'm done also, she actually said, "allow me come over to take your plate" instead of picking it up across the table. I know it sounds like nothing, but it is the littlest things that count, I don't think anyone in Asia cares about this.

The Sofitel Hotel is located within a short drive by taxi (reasonable priced) from the train station, modern Teem mall shops and Beijing Lu shopping street and temple. Our room on floor 17 was overlooking a 14 lane road but was quiet. The room had comfort and modern luxury. The staff were helpful and friendly. Had all our meals at the Chinois Restaurant serving great Chinese food at reasonable cost including an eel dish. Swam at the 30m indoor pool and enjoyed the spa and sauna. Would stay at the Sofitel again when in Guangzhou.

3 smoke free floors nice room very good location close to the metro but at the same time in a quiet location. very nice wash room with 2 washing machines and tumble dryers and free to use. hanging frames. good breakfast.
