South boston is up and coming, lots of new growth in the area. New food chains and grocery stores have moved in. The high school was being rebuilt. This place is an hour from Richmond and thirty minutes from the new casino.Guest review byRaymondUnited States - 8.0

The area has some pretty good architecture and nature trails. I was there for a international race event which was quite good. I wouldn't recommend staying too long as there isn't much to see and good food is hard to come by. I do recommend checking out Cotton at Riverside Mill s its the best food with in 2hours of South BostonGuest review byDomUnited States
