It's a bump in the road on the way to Death Valley with one restaurant with a bar. Worth the stop with myriad identified hikes around the village. Most fascinating are caves that miners dug over 100 years ago. They are preserved and worth a quick visit. Next to them is the cemetery with real local flavor. The walking paths along the Amargosa River and in the Foothills are both excellent. The dramatic geology. The food at the Crowbar. The local museum. All of these are wonderful features of Shoshone. Nice people, too.Guest review bySteveUnited States
