We stayed for a full week at the resort and it was fantastic! We can highly recommend this resort to all type of travellers. Our 4.5 year old son had a blast and enjoyed being outside on the beach from morning to evening. My parents (+70 years old) enjoyed the tranquility and could read a book a day while lounging on the deck overlooking the ocean. The beach is clean and the water is crystal clear. The water is very calm which makes it perfect for kids to play and swim. A coral reef for snorkeling is reachable from the beach. The restaurant serves Thai and Burmese dishes and we had 13 out of our 14 meals in their restaurant. It was just so convenient. Food is delicious (especially the Burmese dishes), it doesn't break the bank to order fresh seafood (compared to Bangkok) and we didn't see any big difference to other restaurants (which are in walking distance by the way). The staff is attentive, always friendly and smiling which is another puzzle piece of the special atmosphere at the resort. We also rented a motorbike and explored the island which was fun and provided some change of scenery. It is a perfect location to relax and unwind. After a few days your whole rhythm adjusts to the natural day/night cycle and we usually went to bed pretty much after sunset (and some rounds of ice cold Leo ;)

A very nice new resort located near the pier. The bungalow are very nice, spacious, confortable, with a little outdoor space. And there is a very nice pool, with enough space for everybody to hang around. Everybody was lovely with us. We had an amazing 5 nights stay, we wish we booked for 2 weeks instead! 😁

Great hosts, great nature surroundings, great atmosphere, one feel like at home. A great experience. I can highly recommend the big house for those in search of peace, nature, simplicity. Thailand as it once was. Basic though, but it has to be so to perfectly fit in the surroundings.

Everything. This is a very calm and quiet place. If you are lucky enough, you can see hornbills from the bungallow. It is absolutely worth the money. Owners are great people. The room is big.

Fabulous stay - the executive suite room was well worth the extra - the view was stunning whilst sitting in bed. Resteraunt served great food, Amy was very helpful and organised onward travel back to phuket (Ferry tickets and Taxi pickup from Ranong Pier). The Resort has a Tuk-Tuk to bring you and your backpacks/suitcases from the ferry terminal and back again at the end of the stay. Ask as soon as you are getting off the ferry - don't walk to the end of the pier as the tuk-tuk is usually waiting ON the pier for boats - just call ahead to Amy and be sure she knows you are arriving on the ferry and it will be there for you. The location is great - about five minutes from the Hippie Bar - which is probably the greatest bar on Earth - literally a warren of driftwood held together with (hemp) ropes (no plastic here). Anyway - Koh Phayam is like Thailand was twenty five years ago - a million miles away from party-town Phuket and lots of lovely uncrowded beaches. Marina Resort is one of the nicest frendliest places - book a stay - you won't be disappointed! :-)

The staff are fantastic here including Great food and dining area. Rooms are large and comfortable. You Can hire a motorbike here yet it is only a 5 minute walk down to the beautiful Buffalo bay.

What an amazing place... We absolutely loved our stay here. We had a room without air conditioning which was fantastic value for money. The room was superb, the outside shower has hot water, everything was high end. The staff here are so friendly, helpful and really make you feel at home. The breakfast is fabulous - everyone is catered for, it's buffet style. The setting is beautiful and very well cared for, the beach is clean and beautiful. The pool is wonderful with beach towels provided. We hope to stay again.
