I choose to stay in Bann Tai for its central location. I don't drive, so I walked around a lot this area. I really enjoyed Wat Khao Tham and Apichada view point where I can visit by walk. There are lots of tasty local food with reasonable price. Especially I liked MAMA local restaurant. Also, I liked carrot cake from Croissant & Ko. They have lots of cakes and pastry it was difficult to chose!!! The pool and facilities are good with direct access onto the beach. There area few local shops but there is not a lot else about. We stayed to go to the full moon party but did not realise that its about 25minute drive away in a Tuk Tuk. Its not a problem as they have transport onsite to take you about.
