    Nice little town with charming older buildings.

    Nice little town with charming older buildings. My stay was to short so I didn't do more than walked around a few blocks, but I'd like to get back and try some of the restaurants och visit the small stores.

    Staying at Hotell Hertig Karl felt like staying at an old fashioned inn: a cosy common room downstairs with great food and drinks available, and spacious bedrooms upstairs. The very friendly staff was most accommodating, and both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Situated in the centre of town, it was easy to get around Filipstad, and conveniently, I was still able to park for free right outside the hotel.

    Excellent value for money option during a very busy period due to the Nordic Youth Trophy Icehockey cup qualifier rounds - held at Wasahallen in Filipstad. I was able to get a cozy room (hut) with beautiful few, newly renovated with short notice and easy check-in to accommodate my erratic schedule. Thanks Martin!

    The staff was very nice and hospitable. Lovely food in the evening and the breakfast was excellent. I recommend this hotell and will stay here again on occasion.
