The owner was very nice to us and it was easy to just ring his dorbell for the key. He also gave us some tips about the area. He even invited us to pick anything that was growing in the garden. The property has a wonderful, lush garden, a small outdoor play area for kids which includes swings, which my daughter loves. The house is so nicely kept, the veranda towards the garden was a great place to relax and look at the lake and beautiful garden plants. Great privacy due to all the plants :) Inside, the little kitchen has everything you could need, there are a lot of interesting games in the living room and the bathroom is clean and has a window, so it is easy to freshen the air and avoid dampness. The bedroom was enough for us 3 and my daughter loved the bunk bed, of course. We still needed a bit of heat and there was no problem, the elements worked very well.

The property had everything that we needed for a group of 5. The location was stunning and in a quiet picturesque setting. The host were fantastic making sure we had everything we needed. Ideal for those wanting to stay near to Kolmården zoo which was the purpose of our visit. It was about a 10 mins drive away.

This was such a beautiful little place to stay. So peaceful and relaxing, in a nature reserve and a few minutes walk from the Baltic Sea. Anki and Ulf were fantastic hosts, even picking us up from and dropping us back at the train station as we had no transport. We had food and drink left for us so didn’t have to buy much. So thoughtful. It’s also not far from Kolmården zoo, which I recommend visiting. I wish we could’ve stayed longer!

    If you enjoy a quiet frame BnB of the beaten track then this...

    If you enjoy a quiet frame BnB of the beaten track then this stay is for you. The host was super friendly and she has a little shop from which she sells hand crafted things and meat from their own sheep. The chickens and ducks are running around free and this is a lovely sight. Nice little guest house on its own with 3 rooms (sleeps about 7 people) and a shared kitchen, toilet and shower is in the basement. If you are the only guests, well then you have the whole house to yourselves.
