A beautiful setting. Idyllic and a wonderful getaway in the midsts of authentic portugal. The welcome was so friendly and though the lady with the key didnt speak English (and my Portuguese is limited) she couldn't be more kind and even brought us fruit from her garden. We felt so at home. The bedrooms are a good size and the beds very comfy. The living room/ kitchen is also a good size with everything you need for a stay. The shower was a lovely power shower & I appreciated the solar powered hot water. Be careful it is very hot !!! The house wasnt though and despite no air conditioning even in temperatures of 38 degrees the house was still cool and airy. Serta is a lovely town with restaurant's and bars and a beautiful river to enjoy. You definitely need a car and if you want to branch out to visit places you need to be prepared for a drive but the roads are empty and the tolls (if you want to go the direct route) are very reasonable. An fantastic stay in a lovely house. Can't recommend it enough.

The place was very neat; on the first day, they had set up a Christmas tree and a selection of local treats, including bread, jam, marshmallows, and wine. To ensure a break from city life, there was a yard equipped with a barbecue and an oven. They provided us with wood and a bit of charcoal, and there were salt, pepper, and dishwashing essentials there too. Very welcome and hospitable host.

It was an absolutely perfect place to stay. Everything is so clean, simple, and elegant in this hotel. The stuff is very helpful, and they really do their best to offer us great, comfortable time. Breakfast with the view and with so many delicious taste was outstanding, and the spa facilities were just as convinient and satisfying. I would like to give a great thanks for Maria, who was especially helpful and kind to us. The main element behind this great place is all this hard working, humble and kind-hearted people who do their diligent job every single day, to create a cozy, welcoming atmosphere for others.
