We were genuinely shocked by how incredible our stay was at Quinta de Travassinhos. We were taken by the spectacular scenery of the surrounding vineyards, though this was actually matched by the beautiful work the owners have done on the property. The interior is beautiful and stylish yet still homely. The pool and spa are also top class. The best part of our stay was how welcoming and helpful the team are, and how they made our stay very special. If you have a chance to stay here, you won't regret it, genuinely one of the best places we have ever stayed together. The energy in the place is also incredible, the owners work extremely hard to provide the best service possible, they clearly live and breathe hospitality. Thank you so much Helena and Ricardo!

Such a beautiful, peaceful retreat. The property is beautifully situated amongst the vineyards and is impeccably maintained. Breakfast was wonderful and the owners were kind, thoughtful and pleasant. Whether you want to relax by the pool or explore the surrounding magnificent countryside, Casa do Salgueiral is the perfect place to stay.

Quinta da Pousada was an absolute delight from start to finish. Antonio welcomed us personally and gave us a warm tour of the property, setting the tone for a stay where the attention to detail is truly next-level - everything feels close to perfection. Our room was spotless and cozy, with a genuinely comfortable mattress and pillows, a proper coffee maker, and more than enough fresh towels. After hot days exploring the Douro Valley, the swimming pools were a blissful cooldown. A standout highlight was the Port wine tasting led by Antonio himself: not a generic lineup, but beautifully aged, high-quality Ports made at the Quinta, including a remarkable 1959 that we’re still talking about. Dinner and breakfast were equally impressive: hearty, home-style dishes rooted in local recipes and produce, served with care. We left feeling pampered, well-fed, and completely at ease. Couldn’t recommend Quinta da Pousada more! Thank you, Antonio, for a stay we’ll happily repeat!

We spent a wonderful week in August in the beautiful village of Cumieira and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Quinta da Cumieira. The relaxed and welcoming atmosphere immediately made us feel at home. We often think back with warmth to the stunning garden, with its many cozy seating areas, and the pool with its spectacular views over the valley. We also loved the authenticity that has been so well preserved in the Quinta. Communication with the hosts was smooth and easy; they were always available for any questions and happy to share local tips. We truly felt at home at Quinta da Cumieira and would wholeheartedly recommend a stay here to anyone! Bram & Babette
