The hotel was brilliant although, so new it's still under construction. Incredible views. Electronic toilets are a little too clever for their own good as the lid automatically closes before you finish, but a cool novelty all the same.

I stayed for 3 nights and I honestly have to say that Maligcong has so much to offer - walks along the rice terraces to other villages, day trips to Sagada, climbing Mt Kupapey or other places for sunrise... Maligcong is a perfect base spot for visiting the Mountain Province and I really recommend coming here and staying at Vilma's for multiple nights, you will get a super nice local experience and will definitely love coming back. I had a wonderful stay at Mavy’s Maligcong Homestay. The place is simple but very comfortable, offering everything you need for a peaceful and relaxing stay in the mountains. The beds were cozy and warm, which was perfect for the cool Maligcong weather. I appreciated the extra blankets and clean linens—they made a big difference after a long day of hiking. Cleanliness was clearly a priority at Mavy’s. The rooms, bathrooms, and common areas were all well-maintained and tidy. The bathrooms had a steady supply of water and were kept clean throughout our stay. Even in a rural, remote location like this, the homestay managed to feel fresh and hygienic, which isn’t always easy to find in mountain accommodations. Overall, Mavy’s Homestay was both clean and comfortable, making it an ideal base for exploring the rice terraces and enjoying the tranquility of Maligcong.
