Having read almost ALL other reviews before we booked, we think a lot of people are projecting 5-star expectations on this 3-star accommodation. In reality... The staff were awesome - kind and helpful, from the cleaners to the receptionists to the restaurant and bar staff. The restaurant was delicious and fairly priced in comparison with other options on the island. Breakfast was good to great, but since it was inclusive with the price of the accom, we rate it as great. Excellent location, close to a store and other eateries. Rental bikes, rental kayaks, and Snorkel gear on-site. The lady from the resort who helps you book tours and bikes etc is very helpful - she takes her time, and no ask is too much. The beach across the road is an extremely easy walk across from the rooms - and for that short walk you get a private, not-very-populated beach as well as the accommodation restaurant, pool, snooker tables and ping pong. The beach is picturesque, tidy. Tje rooms - perfectly clean, cool, nothing alive inside except for you (i.e. NO Mosquitos, Lizards). What more could you ask for, really? We'll happily return. We had an amazing stay there, the owner and all the staff were super kind and available all the time. The lodge is really cozy, the room has everything we need, and choosing between having breakfast in the room or in front of the pool was absolutely nice. The breakfast itself was delicious! How they treat you and the constant good mood and smiles make the difference. They helped us with external problems. As I said, always available. Even though we did not request a transfer from the port to the lodge and they picked us up anyways, they organized everything for us to go to the next step of our trip and so on. We had an amazing journey, loved everything about the lodge, and are absolutely grateful to them! We'll for sure go back there in the future.

We had a great stay at the Tiki House. The bungalow was beautiful and clean and the host was nice and helpful . Thank you so much for your hospitality Fred . Breakfast was great every morning. Great 5 nights at Tike House. The bungalow is well thought and has everything you need to make your stay extremely comfortable. Fred is very kind and knowledgeable of the island. He will ensure you make the most of your time at Bora Bora! Breakfast are the best we had in our French Polynesia trip, highly recommend booking for dinner too, Fred is a great cook! Rent a car or scooter to discover the island! 100% recommend! We also loved the private swimming pool. The guest bungalow is properly separated, gives enough privacy.

From the moment we entered this beautiful Villa, we were in love with the paintings and art it had to offer. The warm, welcoming, and kind hospitality of Valerie was a cherry on the top. Valerie made sure to check up on us every time to ensure we are having a great day and she did all our bookings and gave us information about the island. There are bikes in the villa that you can hire for 500 xpf per day. The villa gives amazing view of Mount Otemanu. It is centrally located is just 3kms away from the beautiful Matira beach and 5kms from the ferry terminal. If you are in lucky you might also get the chance to be picked up by the ferry by the lovely Dora, who will tell you about some great Tahitian stories.

Bora Bora is a slice of paradise.

Bora Bora is a slice of paradise. We rented a scooter for a day and saw the whole island. What was best was Rudolph at H2O was an amazing tour guide. Well worth the money. The waters are amazing colours and warm. Temperature perfect. People were nice and friendly. Had some great meals.

Our favourite place was on the lagoon.

Our favourite place was on the lagoon. We hired a pontoon boat and spent a day on the water, one of the best experiences was snorkelling, swimming and relaxing. It was great. Lots of different fish, coral gardens and many sea life. Water was crystal clear and vibrantly blues and greens. Views were endless. Swam at Matira Beach. Wish I could go back there. Restaurants were good and plentiful - we ate at Lucky House and Maitai Restaurants.

Going to Matira Beach is a must.

Going to Matira Beach is a must. Have a drink or sunset at the Bora Bora Beach Club that's right on the beach. Go on a boat tour to a Motu (an islet) and snorkeling (ask for DiDi the boat captain).

The resort had great amenities, the pool and beach area around the lagoon were great! Very relaxing vacation. Definitely, book some excursions the snorkeling and sunset dinner cruise were our favorites.

Biking around the island was the right approach.

Biking around the island was the right approach. Really no need for a rental car. We really liked eating at the Roulottes (food trucks), excellent seafood (the poisson cru is to die for!). Note that portions are large - we learned after the first time and starting sharing one portion; more than enough food for 2-3 people. We also found getting meals from the supermarket was a good way to go. They have a number of cold meals prepared (including excellent sashimi). Can recommend doing at least one lagoon tour. Snorkling is some of the best we have ever done.

Bora Bora itself is a bit of a dive.

Bora Bora itself is a bit of a dive. Their saving grace is that the water is amazing on a good day. Not much to see or do on the land. Infrastructure is really poor. The boat ride to and from the airport is a highlight. Clearly the government is not supporting this area's infrastructure which will in turn support the locals in providing for tourism and for themselves. Roading and facilities are run down and in poor condition. All the action is on the water. Vaitape is the main village and even that is not much. Just really expensive/overpriced tourist shops. The little market inside at the boat terminal is quite good but only take cash, and the Tahitian busking band playing outside the market is great. It was absolutely pouring with rain the day we arrived, so we lost a whole day due to bad weather. Actually, it wasn't even that warm when it did fine up. We rescheduled the back end of our holiday to stay in Bora Bora an extra day to hopefully get some good weather and do something on the water.
