This older farmhouse is spacious, very comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The hosts provided complementary local produce, which felt very welcoming. There was plenty of room for family members to park. The rural outlook and views of the Rangititkei cliffs contributed to a relaxing stay. The location was perfect for outdoor activities in and around Mangaweka.

Flat Hills Tourist Park is located on State Highway 1 in the beautiful Rangitikei Valley. Free private parking is available on site. All units have a flat-screen TV.

I wished, we could have stayed longer for relaxing and exploring this rural area. Sue and David are wonderful attentive and communicative hosts speaking reliable German and French. They made their house our home for 1 night. An amazing breakfast was served in the morning. We had a wonderful stay! The hosts were lovely and communicated clearly both before and during our visit. The cabin is brand new and beautifully designed, with thoughtful touches throughout. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay – and I have no doubt the owners would happily help if anything was missing. The cabin sits just beside the main house but still offers plenty of privacy. Facing north-west, the porch was the perfect spot to unwind and watch the sun set over the hills. The view is truly something special – rolling green hills dotted with sheep, like a little slice of paradise. Highly recommended!
