Best city in The Netherlands. Great food, great shopping. Architecture, river, art. Rotterdam has it all. Go do your half day on the canals in Amsterdam. Then spend 3 days in Rotterdam to really enjoy yourself.

    The city is great.

The city is great. I liked the architecture, the transport system is very convenient and easy to navigate and there is quite lot to see once you are there. We were visiting primarily because of North Sea Jazz Festival - which was great experience. Definitely take a walking tour with guide - it was fun and informative. July seems as a great time to visit city - don't know if we were lucky or what but the weather was just right. Def try Hans Wurst' rotdog and Som Tam Set at Casa Thai.

Rotterdam was a nice place to visit but very modern city. We used Rotterdam as a central location to take some interesting day trips, boat tour of the harbour, Euromast and trips to Delft and De Pier.

It is nice city, with Netherlands vibe, less Tourists than Amsterdam and more business city. In general it is grate, nice places to see, CoolHaven-Delfhaven. Everything is in reach of Metro. Metro is really convenient - you can even get directly to beach by it. Downside : overall service level here is low, guess there is a lot of people who lives here, and they just don't care. At least in most of my experience. But there are really nice exceptions, what makes makes even more happy. Best antique shop in Rotterdam is Stichting de Majum (also 010foto) with really kind people and best coffee and people Evermore. With owner spoke about crows almost an hour.

We visited Rotterdam as a family of four—two adults and two children aged 10 and 12—and stayed for 3 nights. It was a fantastic short break packed with fun and variety! On the first day, we went on a 75-minute Pancake Cruise, which was a highlight for the kids and adults alike. You can eat unlimited pancakes with a wide range of toppings—just be aware that drinks are charged separately. The next day, we spent the full day at Rotterdam Zoo. The weather was lovely, and we walked almost the entire day—so wear comfortable shoes and aim to arrive early (by 9 AM). It took us around 6.5 hours to explore everything, including a relaxing lunch break. It’s one of the best zoos we’ve visited in years—highly recommended! On our final day, we visited Miniworld Rotterdam, which was fun and fascinating, especially for the kids. We also managed to explore nearby landmarks like the Euromast, Erasmus Bridge, Cube Houses, and Market Hall before ending the day with some shopping. Rotterdam is great for shopping too! In summary, Rotterdam is a brilliant city for a family trip—fun, walkable, and full of things to do. We had a wonderful time and would absolutely recommend it to others!

Modern hotel in a highly convenient location from the Ahoy centre (approximately 2 minute walk). There is a shopping centre around the corner which is also very useful to have on the doorstep. About 30 mins from Rotterdam central, so certainly a hotel more suited for those working at, or visiting, an event at the Ahoy. Compared to many other Ibis hotels, this one has lovely interior and is vibrant and colourful. Great breakfast with lots of choice. And a decent, small, gym which is functional.

It was a pleasant stay, the hotel is located in the centre of the city where all the action is. The room looked as promised, but a bit cold at the time of arrival. The AC was working so the cold wasn't really that big of a problem. It's a very good choice if you're staying in Rotterdam for about a week. There's plenty of restaurants and bars all around the hotel so you don't have to stress about that.

The location is very good for access to places and public transport in the center of Rotterdam. Breakfast was fine. The room had a good fridge and the shower was also good. We chose this hotel partly because there is a Sixt car rental in the same building, which was very convenient because we picked up our rental car there to continue our trip.

The hotel is located in a nice area, a bit quieter than the city center, which was appreciated. From there you can walk to Delfshaven, which is a nice old town part of Rotterdam. It's 4 mins walk to the nearest metro station, which is also very convenient.
