1. Superb Refreshing Breath-taking direct View towards the Ocean. 2. Hot water Jacuzzi in the Room. 3. Good sized Big Room. 4. Breakfast pretty good stuff just that the quantity is too much! Suggestion would be to change few items on the menu the 2nd day since it was the same things again.

    Harlingen is a wonderful town, picturesque and full of...

    Harlingen is a wonderful town, picturesque and full of charming houses, canals and historic places. The people were helpful, friendly and easy going. Surprisingly, the town caters for mostly Dutch tourists, so it was often a challenge to understand the history as there were no signs or explanations in English. The local museum is in Dutch only. But with German and English we were able to get by. The islands across from Harlingen are well worth a visit, the beaches are spectacular, almost deserted and clean. The bird wildlife is plentiful.

    A picturesque small town with many photo opportunities and good food. Easy to get around the town on foot. Beautiful harbour. Ferry service to/from island of Texel. We are retired so cannot comment on suitability for young couples.

    A lovely town, with lots of history, interesting...

    A lovely town, with lots of history, interesting architecture, and good transport connections. A busy harbour with frequent ferries to the islands, and trains to Leeuwarden, Groningen and beyond. Good bicycle rental shops, and easy access to the coast. The museum is really intersting and gives a good sense of the city's history, and the old sailing ships in the harbour are beautiful.

    A very pretty fishing village with many 'typically Dutch' touches: local shops, gabled houses, scrupulously clean, good coffee, friendly people and many bars, restaurants, coffee shops and "coffee shops". Lovely place to spend a few days.

    Harlingen is a very accessible charming city with an inner core, lots of nice shops and outdoor eating places, as well as a good museum and bookshop. We enjoyed the time we had exploring and discovering this place which is definitely more than just a departure point to the islands.

    The house is very well fitted out with a quirky style and good fittings and furnishings. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, sitting on the roof, and generally feeling at home on our break in Harlingen. The house is well located for shops, the train stations, ferries, and cafes and restaurants. The host was very welcoming and helpful, and made sure that we enjoyed our visit.

    Staff could not have been more helpful.....first room offered was up 3 flights of stairs, no lift......very difficult for two 80 year olds one with mobility issues. Front desk offered other rooms, one we had was sensational and only up one flight of stairs. Unique hotel in perfect location. Loved Harlingen itself.

    We spent a week at the Hotel Zeezicht in Harlingen and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the location is excellent – very central and convenient. The room itself was spacious, with a large bathroom, and the shower worked perfectly.
