Just exceptional! The staff were delightful, and although we're not really Christmas people, they went out of their way to make it a very memorable one. The location is idyllic and utterly relaxing, as was simply sitting with a glass of wine on an open terrace listening to the incredible soundtrack of the rain forest. Great information, support, and service to and from the National Park. It's a long way from where we call home, but how we would love to go again..

Diana was a lovely host who made us a great dinner and breakfast. She was also available to give us transfers to and from the national park and was easy to contact. The beds are comfortable and facilities are as described in booking. We only needed to stay one night but would happily have stayed longer if needed.

Amazing hosts! It feels more like being invited to someone’s home than actually staying in a Homestay. Robert and Dina really care about your stay and your well being. With them there is a solution for every problem. Very good value for money. I don‘t think there is a better place to stay in Mulu. Dina is also a great cook! I really advice to eat dinner at the Homestay.

Amazing place and family. The room and all the house are very clean. It's located just opposite the airport (but no worries there are just few flights during the day, so they don't bother at all). Food was also delicious. Many thanks Denny and Salina it was a pleasure staying at your place :-)

Our hosts Dina and Robert made the stay memorable and personalised. They offered help including trips recommendations, meals preparation and transfer to the airport. It felt like being welcomed into their home and living with family. We even had a karaoke night! The place is kept clean and there is luggage storage. The home cook meals were made from homegrown vegetables too, they were delicious.

This review is based on the situations in a remote place like Mulu. The stay was good. It's about 1-1.5 km from Mulu national park and airport, so it's in walkable location. The host Helena and Shania was supportive. The room had 3 single beds. Initially I thought it would be a dormitory type of stay. But they have multiple rooms. It is a budget homestay. They prepare dinner and lunch is you ask for. Prices are at par with Mulu park restaurant.

Each cave is different from another and rides to get to them on the long boats added interest and anticipation of what we would find. The Park is very organised with some guides offering more information than others. We are in our 60s, and were able to cover 3 cave excursions in the one and a half days we were there...unforgettable!

Great place to come for a jungle / caving experience. Only requires basic fitness and moderate mobility to visit most of the show features. More strenuous/ adventurous options also exist for those who are interested/ daring!

river boat ride to the amazing caves. dont miss the bat flight. lots of walking in the mulu national park. office staff, guides are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. mulu has only 300 houses. there is no town. so the only attraction is the mulu national park, mariott hotel and homestays, cafes ( which are opened occasionally) if you want adventure, time with nature , quiet, astounding sites of caves and sheer size...come to Mulu. oh yes attractive pricing

Caves are awesome and well maintained for tourists with out much disturbance for nature Always give priority to Wind and Clear water caves as this tour is depending on weather It’s a rain forest , overnight heavy rain may stop the tour for next day as tourists have to move by boat . keep a rain coat unless you like to get drenched. Be prepared to swim in clear water cave

The caves and the exits of the bats at 6.30pm. Not enough little shops around Mulu. The locals are most helpful and friendly especially the airport tuck shop. The check in staff ,customs, maswings crew are all fantastic.
