Oaxaca is a wonderful destination for family and friends.

Oaxaca is a wonderful destination for family and friends. There is a lot to see and do (museums, workshops, restaurants, etc.). I highly recommend Oaxaca. If you are thinking of visiting, book your trip for 5 or 7 days. There's lots to do and visit! July is perfect for the festivities (Guelaguetza), weather is pleasant, tropical. Highly recommend.

    Interesting town.

Interesting town. This is proper Mexico also the state of Oaxaca. Many sightseeing possible. The locals are nice. Price cheaper then in Cancun. If you after souvenirs and handmade things Oaxaca is the right place. Be aware during the dry season the humidity is only 20%. The altitude is high with 1500m. Pedestrian friendly centre.

I've been to Oaxaca city 5 times.

I've been to Oaxaca city 5 times. There is always something going on in the main square in the evening, music. There is often a festive parade for some occasion in street during day. The main part of Oaxaca City is small enough to be walkable and there are numerous beautiful churches. Also can do a day trip to Monte Alban ruins. Can go on a tour to Hierva Agua or catch the bus and go there on your own. There are tourist booths if you want a paper map, which I like to have. Also there is the artisan market. It is a safe city.

Honestly, I have nothing negative to say about this hotel. The location is ideal, as it is situated in the center, making it easy to access all the main attractions. The staff is incredibly friendly and always willing to help. The rooms are comfortable and aesthetically pleasing, making our stay very enjoyable. Although breakfast is not included, it is good. If you have the chance, I recommend trying the conchas; they are among the best I’ve ever had and are definitely worth it.

I really enjoyed my stay in the hotel! From the early communication to the departure, the staff demonstrated great professionalism and genuine passion to provide the best experience to the guests. I’m a frequent traveler and have been to many places around the world - Hotel SIGLO XVII definitely stands among the best. Besides, it is perfectly located in the city and has great local charms. Very glad that I chose this beautiful and comfortable place for my first visit to Oaxaca.

The property has all the amenities to make it an enjoyable stay in Oaxaca, although on the pricey side of hotels in the area it’s a full hotel with pool areas, reception teams & food areas so that’s why you pay the extra in comparison to a apartment or B & B. I will say the satellite TV was a nice touch as I found myself using this to unwind of a night.

Cute boutique hotel in a great location. The staff are friendly and the common areas are very picturesque and calming. It's worth staying a couple of nights if you're in luck with availability.
